Steven Wolfe Pereira is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Governance Group PBC, an independent AI governance intelligence and ratings firm setting the global standard for how organizations assess, manage, and communicate AI risk and value creation. He leads Alpha's mission to provide boards, executives, investors, and insurers with an independent, decision-grade view of enterprise AI governance, powering the continuous governance of the agentic enterprise and enabling more transparent, accountable, and scalable adoption of AI.
A seasoned operator, entrepreneur, and board director, Steven has spent over three decades at the intersection of data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and capital markets. He has held executive leadership roles at category-defining companies, including Chief Marketing Officer positions at Neustar (acquired by Golden Gate Capital for $3 billion), Datalogix (acquired by Oracle for $1.2 billion), and Quantcast. His broader leadership experience spans senior roles at Publicis Groupe and TelevisaUnivision, as well as co-founding the award-winning edtech company Encantos. He began his career in private equity at The Blackstone Group and Salomon Smith Barney, focusing on technology, media, and telecommunications, and in 1999 joined Akamai Technologies in their network engineering group.
Steven is a Fulbright Scholar and holds an Executive MBA from MIT Sloan and a BA from Tufts University. He completed the Stanford Directors' Consortium and is a contributor to Forbes on AI governance. A recognized voice on the institutional infrastructure required for responsible AI and the continuous governance of the agentic enterprise, his perspectives on governance, the agent economy, and enterprise risk have been featured in Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Fortune, and Fast Company.
